ROYAL OAK – On M2 TechCast Monday Sept. 26, Mike Brennan and Matt Roush will be showcasing organizations working to address the skills gap in IT and working to promote greater Detroit as a great place to come work and live.

The Internet radio show will introduce the Opportunity Detroit Tech Council – a non-profit initiative facilitated by the Workforce Intelligence Network. It is a collaborative body that envisions the Greater Detroit Region as a place where an improved information technology ecosystem can be the answer to industry and community economic success.

Its mission is to shape the technology industry’s talent, customer-base, supply-chain, and other growth needs in Southeast Michigan and raise awareness among industry partners in this high growth sector. We work towards this goal by leveraging our direct access to workforce development partners, community based organizations, higher education institutions, economic developers, and other regional stakeholders as well as by providing current, actionable, real-time labor market data to help employers make critical talent decisions.

M2 (Squared) TechCast airs live from 3 to 4 pm each Monday at www.podcastdetroit.com. You can listen to past episodes by clicking on http://www.podcastdetroit.com/artist/mi-tech-cast/
