LANSING—The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) successfully secured $600,000 from the MEDC’s Small Business Relief Program to issue 60 $10,000 grants to small businesses across Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties that are suffering financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grant application for these funds is now open and can be accessed from LEAP’s website at www.purelansing.com/businessrelief. The application will be open until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, March 31. Businesses are encouraged to take their time completing their application, as completing the application more quickly does not improve chances of receiving a grant.

Small businesses wishing to apply for grant funds must be Michigan-based with fewer than 50 employees (full or part time). Complete eligibility requirements, application scoring criteria, description of the review process, FAQ and the award and distribution timeline are available on LEAP’s website at www.purelansing.com/businessrelief.

LEAP is the economic development agency for the three-county area around Michigan’s capital—Eaton, Ingham, and Clinton counties.
