ANN ARBOR – Lisa Kujawa Associate Provost for Enrollment and Outreach at Lawrence Technological University joins Matt and Mike to provide details on new scholarships available from LTU to help pay for students’ STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math – education. As she says, a STEM degree will make sure your kids don’t return after college to live in your basement because they can’t find a job.

Students pursuing degrees in a variety of technology and engineering majors are eligible to receive a scholarship worth more than $78,000 over four years under a new program at Lawrence Technological University.

The LTU STEM Scholar Award is offered through the university’s Marburger STEM Center, LTU’s clearinghouse for K-12 outreach efforts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Degrees eligible for the scholarships include:

  • Bachelor of Science in audio engineering technology
  • Bachelor of Science in chemical biology
  • Bachelor of Science in chemistry
  • Bachelor of Science in construction engineering technology management
  • Bachelor of Science in environmental chemistry
  • Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering
  • Bachelor of Science in mathematical sciences
  • Bachelor of Science in mechanical and manufacturing engineering technology
  • Bachelor of Science in media communication
  • Bachelor of Science in physics and computer science
  • Bachelor of Science in physics
  • Bachelor of Science in psychology
  • Associate of Arts in radio and television broadcasting
  • Bachelor of Science in technological humanities.

Students must take at least 30 credit hours of classes per academic year for all four years of their time at LTU to receive the scholarship, which will total $78,600 over four years.
