ROYAL OAK – Irene Spanos, Director of Economic Development and Community Affairs for Oakland County, provides details on a report about the state’s second largest country in 2016 in which 92 companies located or expanded into Oakland County, generating more than $780 million, creating more than 4,600 new jobs.

She also pointed out more than 40 percent of those companies are Foreign Direct Investment companies from:

o   Australia,

o   Canada,

o   China,

o   Germany,

o    India. 

o    Italy,

o   Japan,

o   Korea,

o   Mexico,

o   Netherlands

o   Norway,

o   Spain and

o   Switzerland

Spanos also discussed Tech248, a networking group that represents some 2,000 tech companies in the county.
