GeoFencing, LTU Golf Outing, Mackivision, Bamboo Detroit

ROYAL OAK – On M2 TechCast Monday Aug. 7, Warner Norcross & Judd Partner Norbert Kugele will talk about geofencing, a technique for HR recruitment which automatically collects data from user’s cellphones within a specific region for the purpose of targeted advertising. Although geofencing is becoming more widely used for recruiting, companies that use this technology will need to consider privacy concerns if they collect any personal information, including protecting the data from hackers and improper use. Tonya Matthews, CEO of the Michigan Science Center, will talk about how kids and kids at heart can participate in the upcoming Solar Eclipse on Aug. 21 with fun and educational activities. Greg Doyle from Tech248 will interview Doug Mehki from Mackivision. While Mike Ferlito, co-founder of Bamboo Detroit, will talk about the expanding co-working space.
