GRAND RAPIDS – Inductive Intelligence, nominated by the Michigan Small Business Development Center, has been selected to represent the work of America’s Small Business Development Centers at the Fourth Annual Client Showcase Reception on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. on February 12.
Inductive Intelligence is one of ten businesses selected from across the ASBDC’s national program to be a guest at the annual, invite-only reception, and the only one from Michigan.
Based in West Michigan, Inductive Intelligence specializes in creating technology systems that make inductive temperature control seem simple. Their innovative technology uses wireless power transmission, wireless communication, and emerging sensor technology to turn paper, plastic, glass, foil and metal packaging into Internet of Things enabled cookware.
Using highly controlled inductive power, their products allow the consumer within minutes to heat foods, drinks, household, and personal care items in the package by simply placing it on a coaster-sized appliance that can also be used to wirelessly charge a mobile device. Paired with the customizable Inductive Intelligence mobile application or APIs, customers can easily and conveniently use these products for their daily needs.
Founded in 2017 by David Baarman and Greg Clark, Inductive Intelligence has been rapidly expanding its technology into a variety of consumer packaged goods categories and institutional food markets, and expanding beyond the United States with launch plans in Asia. The Michigan SBDC has supported Inductive Intelligence with its overall business plan and go-to market strategy, as well as supporting the development of prototypes for proof of concept testing with major retailers in the U.S.
