ANN ARBOR – Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming Michigan’s economy.
From manufacturing and mobility to healthcare, cybersecurity, finance, education, agriculture and defense, AI is changing how businesses operate and creating a new generation of innovative startups.
Yet many of those companies remain largely unknown outside their own industries.
MITechNews wants to change that.
Beginning this summer, MITechNews is significantly expanding its editorial coverage of Michigan’s AI economy. Our goal is to become the state’s leading source for news about the entrepreneurs, researchers, startups and established companies using artificial intelligence to solve real-world business challenges.
“We believe Michigan is emerging as one of the country’s most exciting AI innovation hubs,” said Mike Brennan, editor and publisher of MITechNews. “Our mission is to tell the stories of the companies and entrepreneurs building that future.”
The expanded coverage will include:
- AI startup profiles
- Founder interviews
- New product launches
- Venture capital and funding announcements
- Customer success stories
- AI applications in manufacturing, mobility, healthcare, cybersecurity, finance and defense
- University AI research and commercialization
- Michigan AI policy and workforce developments
MITechNews is particularly interested in companies developing practical AI solutions that are creating jobs, attracting investment, improving productivity or solving significant business problems.
“We’ve interviewed many outstanding AI founders over the past year,” Brennan said. “One thing has become clear: Michigan has far more AI innovation than most people realize. We want to shine a spotlight on those companies and help readers understand how AI is reshaping the state’s economy.”
The publication is inviting entrepreneurs, startup founders, university researchers, venture capital firms, economic development organizations, SmartZones, business incubators and corporate innovation leaders to share story ideas about Michigan companies using AI in innovative ways.
Whether your company is launching its first AI-powered product, raising capital, expanding into new markets or helping customers solve complex problems, MITechNews would like to hear from you.
The publication’s expanded AI initiative reflects the growing importance of artificial intelligence across virtually every sector of Michigan’s economy. While the state has long been known for automotive manufacturing, today’s innovation ecosystem increasingly includes software, robotics, machine learning, advanced manufacturing, autonomous systems, life sciences and intelligent enterprise applications.
MITechNews believes those companies deserve greater visibility.
