GRAND RAPIDS – West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum will host a discussion on the evolving role of solar power in sustainable business, focusing on co-benefits, development considerations, and lifespan of solar technology.

Panelists include:
• John Kinch, Executive Director of Michigan Energy Options
• Tyler Kanczuzewski, Vice President of Marketing & Sustainability at Inovateus Solar

Already the most accessible means for Michigan businesses and communities to invest in local renewable energy production, modern solar developments are offering increased benefits due to greater efficiency and footprint requirements, their ability to support habitat conservation and green infrastructure, make marginal development land productive, and to seamlessly support corporate and community carbon goals.

Inovateus will share its principles for “Modern Day Sustainable Solar Development,” and will be addressing end-of-lifespan for solar and detail how it is working to increase efficiency and reduce waste in its projects. Michigan Energy Options will highlight its recent work to bring distributed solar and community solar to public places and communities.
