SOUTHFIELD–The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Metro Detroit will host its virtual meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 25 from 2 to 3 p.m.

Speakers will be covering advancement in vehicle computer-aided engineering and automotive industry STEM outreach to youth to encourage a new generation of engineers.

Allison Collins, a materials engineer at Ford Motor Co., will address STEM outreach and diversity, including partnerships between professional societies, industry, and the Detroit school system.

Collins has worked as a polymer laboratory engineer, seat engineer, and safety test engineer at Ford, as well as serving with launch support for the 2020 Lincoln Aviator at Ford’s Chicago Assembly Plant.
