ERP Provider Central Data Acquires Wholesale Distribution Consultant Lowery Systems

FARMINGTON HILLS – Enterprise Resource Management provider Central Data has acquired St. Louis, MO., based consultant Lowery Systems Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition of LSi offers a complementary suite of services to Central Data’s current offerings and will increase Central Data’s customer base by 30 percent. Central Data has rehired all of LSi’s employee resource team, company operations and staff, whom will remain in St. Louis.

Central Data provides end-to-end technology solutions in the wholesale distribution and manufacturing industries. Central Data assists and guides distributors and manufacturers in “best practices” to increase productivity, profitability and drive growth. The company’s services and products include consulting, ERP software and hardware, network solutions, training and ongoing support for each client.

LSi, similar to Central Data, offered consulting services and support for Infor FACTS to their clients in the wholesale distribution industry which is a parallel business model to Central Data based on an alternative Infor ERP solution.

Central Data sought to expand their vertical portfolio by adding an ERP package that provides a broad array of services to a similar customer base. The acquisition will provide additional services to clients, giving them a competitive edge.

“The culture of both Central Data and LSi is based on creating and sustaining a ‘raving fan’ customer base,” said Midge Davidson, Central Data’s CEO”. This common ground in our company cultures was essential to the success of this transaction and will be a key factor in the smooth integration of our two companies.”

The acquisition of LSi supports Central Data’s plans for organic growth with a vision to offer wholesale distribution clients a comprehensive solution for their ERP needs. Central Data will continue serving wholesale distributors with a focus on the industry and marketplace they belong to.
