DETROIT – Automakers the world over are launching Electric Vehicles, or EVs for short, at breakneck speeds. It seems nearly every day, news stories herald improved range, faster charging speeds and more efficient batteries.

Car brands are in a constant war for market control and public attention, so we generally know about their upcoming launches long before they actually happen.
