LANSING – ACD.net is moving its headquarters to downtown Lansing where the company will build the largest data center in the region at the Metro Internet Exchange Building. ACD.net serves the telephone, networks and Internet needs of businesses and residents in Lower Michigan.
The Meridian Township based company will expand its phone, networks and systems integration business with this move. ACD.net currently has 30 employees in the Lansing area and 10 more throughout the state. ACD is expected to add 20-30 more employees in the next two years.
ACD.net is a telecommunications and broadband provider, with networks in Grand Rapids, Lansing, Jackson, Ann Arbor, St. Joe/Benton Harbor, and Saginaw metropolitan areas. ACD.net provides DSL, fiber, hosting, Voice over Internet, and Wireless services.
The Metro Internet Exchange Building will house high-technology web hosting and voice over Internet equipment protected by a large bunker for secure datacenter service constructed in the center of the building. In addition it will include a high-tech office space and technology incubator open to established and upstart enterprises. In addition, this facility will serve as a hot site for corporate and government customers for disaster recovery.
