SOUTHFIELD  – Paperless account payable solutions provider ImageSoft announced that the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has gone live with its OnBase solution to scan, index, store and route documents through a custom-designed workflow system.

Meeting urgent national security needs by advancing nuclear weapons, science and technology, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory operates with an annual budget of approximately $1.5 billion and employs 6,300 staff. ImageSoft was trusted with converting business and invoice documents from an existing Stellent storage system to OnBase, while meeting stringent security requirements and tight timelines.

Lawrence Livermore selected ImageSoft for its expertise in automating the accounts payable process and OnBase by Hyland, for its enterprise content management platform that allows rapid development of sophisticated workflows and eases integration.

ImageSoft leverages OnBase’s technology to scan and capture data from invoices and transfer it to the accounting system. With this level of automation, LLNL significantly reduces time spent keying data from thousands of invoices processed every month. The electronic workflow in OnBase brings greater efficiency and transparency by automating the routing of invoices to managers for approval.

“The automated accounts payable workflow solution which we have designed and deployed will enable LLNL to manage internal financial processes much more efficiently,” says ImageSoft CEO Dave Hawkins. “The new system provides more robust functionality and enhanced security features.”
