ROYAL OAK – MCity Director Huei Peng comes on M2 TechCast to talk about the recent good news that 42 companies will invest $150,000 each over the next three years to keep the Autonomous and Connected Vehicle Laboratory operational. MCity provides a living laboratory for all member companies to come in and perfect. Also 11 leadership companies have invested $1 million each in the AV testing ground on the University of Michigan’s North Campus.

MCity will be featured on April 4 at IoT TechConnect at the Troy Marriott. Also on the AV program will be American Center for Mobility that just opened at the Willow Run Airport. MCity is about 18 acres, and ACM is about 300 acres. MCity focuses on low-speed testing for students, professors as well as the company’s that finance MCity. ACM is higher speed, more standard development with a three-mile freeway loop with speeds around 55 miles per hour.
