I hope everyone enjoyed their July & August (all things considered). We’re a little slow getting this month’s meeting together, so I apologize for the short notice.

This month, we’re going to talk about tips and tricks for hosting, recording, and participating in web conferences. Unfortunately, you’re stuck with me as the main speaker.

Over the past few months, I have hosted and recorded several Zoom and MS Teams web conferences for my clients, and I thought it might be useful to pass along some of my tips to the group. I can show the differences between using a webcam, phone, or real camera for your setup. I’ll also go over tips for getting good sound and how best to record a conference for maximum editability.  It will be an interactive session, so anyone is welcome to share their own tips.

I’ll also go over my technique for “faking” a live-recorded interview show.

Before we go into my presentation, we’ll do extended introductions so that everyone can share what they did on their summer vacations. 😀

Here is my bio, if anyone cares:

Scott Nadeau is an award-winning and Emmy-nominated videographer and editor. He’s also a writer, planner, producer, and audio-visual technician. Scott has worked “in the biz” in Southeast Michigan for more than 20 years. During this time he has created, written, produced, shot, edited, and distributed hundreds of video programs. Most of that work has been for small businesses, large corporations, school systems, and hospitals throughout the Ann Arbor area and all around Michigan. In August of 2012, he founded Video and Internet Stuff, LLC. The company has experienced tremendous growth, won several national industry awards, and has been nominated five times for Michigan Emmy Awards.

Scott is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, as well as Interpersonal and Public Communication. He currently serves as a director on the Central Michigan University Alumni Association National Board of Directors.

You must RSVP to participate, and we will email you the meeting number/link and password the morning of the video conference.

So, please grab a beverage and be near a computer or device of your choice at 6:30 pm on Monday, September 14. Don’t forget to RSVP!
