ANN ARBOR – Michelle Gilbert, vice president of communications at Comcast’s Heartland Region (Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky) rebuffs story in the technology press that claims Comcast data caps will cost people money. She also outlines various plans businesses can purchase to bundle Internet and telephone services.
Her job is to develop and manage all proactive and reactive strategic external communications initiatives for the Heartland Region, which includes Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky, to enhance the Comcast brand through positive coverage in traditional and digital PR.
Redesigned region’s social media strategy around three pillars: engage, educate and escalate. In our first eight months, we increased conversations by 85 percent; increased fans and followers by 25 percent; and generated a 230 percent lift in interactions.
