DETROIT – Metro Detroit entrepreneur Ryan Angott and his father Paul have spent about $300,000 developing a physical security device called LapLok that he says will prevent thieves from stealing your laptop when you’re working at a coffee shop, airport or other public places. He’s now operating a crowd funding campaign to manufacture LapLok. He’s offering a 40 percent discount off the price if you contribute to his crowd funding campaign by July 1.

He hopes to have the first batch ready for shipping in late summer. He tells his story in this video interview.
