ROYAL OAK – Comcast is leveraging its Xfinity platform to watch what you want, how you want it, and when you want it through a new Netflix app offering by Comcast the ability to call up your favorite movie or actor. Before you buy or rent a movie, you can search all your content to find what you’re looking for.
M2 TechCast is Michelle Gilbert, vice president of communications for Comcast’s Heartland Region (Michigan, Indiana and parts of Kentucky) also said Comcast Business is offering its 1 gig service throughout the city of Detroit over existing phone lines. Means no expensive fiber installation. The timetable for installing 1 gig service for the rest of Michigan has not yet been determined, she said. A YouTube app also is coming to Comcast later this year.
