YPSILANTI – Eastern Michigan University is launching a brand new Certificate in Entrepreneurship & $25,000 Venture Challenge program for aspiring Michigan entrepreneurs with scalable and growth-oriented startup ideas.
Specifically, this program is for entrepreneurs who are actively involved in their idea/product development phase and ready to start spending money on their ideas after completing the program but may not have their startup commercialized.
The program will feature a unique mix of exposures to academics, industry experts, professional coaches, mentors and startup investors as judges. The program has the capacity to take a maximum of 20 individual entrepreneurs.
During the final phase of the program, participants will pitch their ideas to secure business expense funding of a total of $25,000 (one or two ideas out of a maximum of 20 will be funded). EMU will not require any financial or business interest in lieu of this funding.
