TROY – Mobile Backend as a Service, sometimes referred to as MBaaS, refers to the practice of using a service provider to power the backend services – such as business logic and data management – of an app. The purpose is to take care of all the technical infrastructure necessities needed behind the scenes for an app to work properly. It will be the topic Sept. 12 at the Mobile Monday Detroit meeting AT RIIS.

David White, Global Accounts Technical Strategist at Microsoft, will discuss Mobile Backend as a Service, utilizing Windows Azure Mobile Services as his example. Windows Azure Mobile Services makes it easy to connect a scalable cloud back-end to your client and mobile applications – in both Android and iOS applications.

The event is free to attend but advance reservations via Meetup ARE REQUIRED in order to attend; make your reservation at http://meetup.com/Mobile-Monday-Detroit.

Refreshments will be served courtesy of our host and sponsor, RIIS. Free parking is available onsite.
