Mirari and BITONE will be exhibiting at the NAIAS AutoMobili-D event during Press and Industry week, January 14-17, 2019. (Booth #MS06).

DETROIT – Now in its 3rd year, AutoMobili-D has a business-to-business component that aims to connect exhibitors with industry people.  The startups comprise firms that focus on a range of topics, such as autonomy, connected vehicles, advanced visualization, electrification and fleet management, among other areas.

New for 2019.  This year, a number of allied industries integral to the evolving automotive ecosystem are included.  These include companies advocating for, and developing extended technologies, especially those that complement mobility: Human Machine Interface (HMI) developers, technology interface solutions, UX and UI architects, and extended multimedia consultants, like Mirari and BITONE.

Teaming: Mirari and BITONE World Leaders in Visualization.  Among the innovators in this space, Mirari, based in Southeast Michigan, a leader in Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality (AR/MR) consulting, is teaming with China’s BITONE (“bit-one”) to present a rich array of advanced multimedia technologies.  BITONE is a world-leading visualization solutions supplier, with an experienced CGI production team that can integrate original ideas with CGI, live-action, emerging media and other techniques to customize image and interactive solutions for our clients in all marketing channels, including auto shows, launch events, advertisements, branded web and social media.  BITONE’s strategy is to build a presence in North America, leveraging their relationship with Mirari.

Near-Term Collaboration.  Mirari and BITONE are currently exploring avenues to expand their working relationship, investing in a state-of-the-art visualization and production studio where they can co-create high-fidelity imagery, augmented reality and virtual reality solutions, and 3D Web applications, with a SE Michigan studio as a North American base. BITONE also is China’s “best in class” developer of experiential, applied technology, and support services. They lead China in integrated automotive marketing – anything from renderings to advanced 3D product visualization and complete new vehicle launch support.

David Pollock, CEO of Mirari, explains the developing collaboration between BITONE and Mirari: “We have worked at the outer edge of high-fidelity visualization for several years, all the while maintaining a watchful eye for applications that support advanced multimedia. This led us to look for novel ways to deploy delivery mechanisms, like Augmented Reality, WebAR, WebGL and Virtual Reality, within the automotive ecosystem.  We are able to effectively combine the CGI creation expertise, ‘XR’ production, big data, and other talents of BITONE with our expertise in identifying and fulfilling ‘Omnichannel 3D’ projects for our marketing and industrial clients.  We think this will be a great union, with unlimited possibilities for the near future.”  David also explained that Mirari is making Augmented Reality a centerpiece of their near-term strategy, “because the marketplace is unsure of how to differentiate various “reality” modes, and even less sure about the requirements for analyzing, producing, and measuring AR and VR.

To provide a service to the engineering and promotional community, we (Mirari) developed a comprehensive, one-day workshop ‘Developing an Augmented Reality (AR) Strategy’ on February 5th, 2019 at LTU. This will be a first step in guiding organizations toward understanding and deploying AR as a real solution for knowledge transfer, collaborative communication, and increased productivity”.

AutoMobili-D is an excellent platform to communicate our value proposition.  Home to an extraordinary array of automotive research and development and advanced manufacturing assets, Detroit and Michigan have quickly established themselves as the global epicenter for connected and autonomous vehicle research and advanced manufacturing and communications technologies. With 89,000+ engineers, Michigan ranks first in the nation for its concentration of engineering talent and number of automotive related businesses (462).
