BLOOMFIELD HILLS ? John May, a national leader in the angel investor movement, will headline the Great Lakes Angels second Angels? Boot Camp on Nov. 16, which is open to accredited investors from Michigan, Ohio and Ontario, Canada.
Those investors, however, must commit to making a minimum investment of $25,000 per year in one or more companies presented by Great Lakes Angels. Registration deadline is Nov. 11.
May is the co-author of Every Business needs an Angel and State of the Art: An Executive Briefing on Cutting-Edge Practices in American Angel Investing. At the forefront of angel investing for 14 years, May is also the vice chairman of the newly formed Angel Capital Alliance, a program of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
“Our first ever Michigan Angel Boot Camp in May was attended by investors from Michigan, Ohio and Ontario and was a great success?that is why we are offering this again,” said Great Lakes Angels President David Weaver. “Adding to the database of educated accredited investors can only help provide more ?smart? capital into early stage companies in the Region and bring new return opportunities to investors”
