GRAND RAPIDS ? Road warriors, snowbirds, vacationers that use Iserv?s dial up access to the Internet can now take their accounts with them. The company, one of the largest Internet Service Providers in the state, has rolled out a new nationwide access service.
Any Iserv customer can upgrade to the Webpro Nationwide Access for $24.95 a month. If that?s too rich for your blood, than Iserv will let you take your regular account and connect outside Michigan for a penny a minute. The service is also available to all customers of Holland-based EagleNet.
“Now our customers can take their Iserv connection anywhere in the U.S,” said Iserv CEO Victor Shepherd. “Iserv Nationwide will keep business travelers connected to the office. Winter vacationers will be able to surf the Web for ski conditions or email pictures of the beach to friends and family using the same great Iserv service they’ve come to expect at home.”
Iserv servers about 50,000 dial-up customers, primarily in the Western half of Michigan?s lower peninsula. Iserv also operates a Tier 1 Data Center with redundant networks.
