BLOOMFIELD HILLS ? Michigan Sen. Mike Bishop is the keynote speaker March 15 at the next meeting of the Great Lakes Angels. Bishop will speak about a new tax credit in the Michigan legislature to off set losses realized by angel investments.

?We are encouraging accredited investors to come and learn about this bill and help get it accepted.? said GLA President David Weaver.

The meeting includes a presentation by two companies, ProjectVillage and VitalWear.

GLA meetings are only open to private (accredited) investors in the Region (Ontario, Ohio and Michigan). Attendance is therefore open to those who would intend to make a minimum of a $25,000 investment in one or more companies presented by the Great Lakes Angels in each calendar year.

Candidates must be an Accredited Investor or approved as ?designated screener? for an Accredited Investor, by the Membership Committee, to become a Member.
