GLIMASoutheast Holiday Party Doubles As Needy Children’s Benefit

BIRMINGHAM ? The GLIMASoutheast Holiday party has a new wrinkle this year. It doubles as a benefit for needy children through the U.S. Marines Toys For Tots program.

For every toy or $10 donation, the gift giver gets a chance to win prizes including 12th row lower level Piston tickets. Three pairs of two are up for grabs. Other prizes include a GLIMASoutheast annual membership, a DVD player and the first edition of GLIMASoutheast member Phil Rosette?s book The Freya Project. The book?s publisher, Countinghouse Press, will also include a children?s book and a men?s cook book.

The Holiday party is scheduled for 5:01 p.m. Dec. 15 at The Community House in downtown Birmingham. The event costs $15 and feature appetizers and three drink tickets in that package price. A cash bar is available.
