Established in 1968, SIM nationally includes some 3,000 IT leaders, including CIOs, senior IT executives, prominent academicians, consultants, and other IT leaders. SIM members share experiences and develop intellectual capital to explore the future direction of Information Technology.
In partnership with its 30 chapters, SIM provides resources and programs developed by IT leaders for IT leaders that enable CIOs to further develop their leadership capabilities and emerging leaders within their organizations. SIM also serves as an IT industry pushing policy and legislation on behalf of the IT profession.
The Detroit Chapter serves approximately 120 members.
