DETROIT ? With a week to go before the Major League All Star Baseball game at Detroit?s Comerica Park, REM Marketing Group and Detroit Sports Concierge have begun booking packages that include not only the hard-to-find tickets, but also hospitality. Principal Rick Rackner said ticket sales have been picking up, as expected, this week.
?Our goal was 150 tickets sold by the Fourth of July and we?ve gone well past that,?? he said. ?In past events we?ve done, we?ve seen our ticket sales explode the last 96 hours before the event.?
What?s different for the All Star game, as opposed to the Ryder Cup packages Rackner sold last summer, is the higher priced hospitality packages are selling faster than the less expensive options. Rackner said he sold 6,000 tickets for the Ryder Cup event at Oakland Hills Country Club.
?Brokers are buying those for their bigger clients,?? Rackner said.
REM Marketing Group and Detroit Sports Concierge offer four hospitality packages ? Home Run, Grand Slam, Bull Pen and Custom Stadium. For all the details, click on
