ANN ARBOR ? Business leaders are looking for help from within their companies for ideas and help in improving corporate performance.

In the study done by eePulse Inc., 456 executives, when asked the question,What are you doing to improve your company?s performance beyond cutting costs? showed most are looking for answers within their own organizations.

?These results indicate that leaders are seeking help from within; reading through the detailed comments you realize how much senior executives are looking to their workforce for ideas and help in improving firm performance,? said eePulse CEO Theresa Welbourne.

Some 27 percent of respondents said they were undertaking company-wide improvement initiatives to refine current processes; 17 percent said they are focusing on specific strategies, partnerships and business growth opportunities to increase sales; while 13 percent said they will be providing employees with training, seminars and other educational resources to make them more efficient.

Other responses include:

11 percent said they?d motivate and recognize employees

8 percent said they?d introduce new products and services to the marketplace

7 percent said they?d implement the latest technology to streamline operations; and hire new employees and concentrate on recruitment

6 percent said they?d improved internal communications

4 percent said they?d improve customer service and personal goals
