RESTON, Va. – America Online on Friday said it has landed two new partnerships with high-speed Internet service providers to offer AOL broadband service.
AOL has signed deals with telephone providers BellSouth and AT&T to offer a bundled service that includes high-speed Internet access and exclusive programming and security features at prices that range from about $26 to $30 per month, CNET’s News.Com reported.
The two new deals are part of AOL’s plans to migrate existing dial-up modem subscribers, of which it loses millions each year, over to broadband. AOL currently has similar deals with Time Warner Cable and Verizon Communications.
