ANN ARBOR ? Fifty one teams are now registered for the fall session of the Great Lakes Entrepreneur?s Quest business plan writing contest. Thirty one registrations came in right at the deadline, Nov. 29.
?We?ve had an increased flow of entrepreneurs registering for the competition in recent weeks and want to ensure that teams have time to register and engage with GLEQ coaches before the submission deadline in January?, said Art DeMonte, GLEQ Executive Director.
?Life Sciences among the top industries represented,?? he said. ?We?ve also got companies in IT, Internet, Manufacturing, Services, homeland security and security in general. But 10 to 15 percent are Life Sciences, one of the top categories. ?
Each team is required to submit an executive summary by Jan. 11. The fall awards celebration is scheduled for February 7, but neither the location nor the keynote speaker have been finalized, DeMonte said.
