ALAMO TOWNSHIP – Kalamazoo-area manufacturer Quality Precast announced it will construct a 25,000-square-foot production facility and corporate headquarters, adding 20 new jobs.

A precast manufacturer specializing in manholes, large block retaining walls and more, Quality Precast will invest $1,352,185 in this expansion. In support of this project, the company received a $3,000 grant approved by the Kalamazoo County Brownfield Authority to conduct Phase I environmental site assessment. Alamo Township is also supporting the project with a 12 year tax abatement.

A Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) certified supplier, Quality Precast was started in 2004 and has grown to be a leader in the Great Lakes region. Its expansion will allow the company to move all production inside the building and run 365 days per year.

“We are thrilled to support the growth of Quality Precast in Kalamazoo County,” said Ron Kitchens, senior partner and chief executive officer of Southwest Michigan First. “The 20 jobs created by this expansion will make a great impact on the local community in Alamo Township.”
