ANN ARBOR – Merit Network, Inc. has issued a Request for Proposals to solicit bids from organizations who are interested in providing engineering, construction, and installation of services for an Outside Plant fiber optic network for the Grosse Pointe Communities.
The RFP is for OSP engineering and construction only. It does not include networking hardware or managed lit services.
Merit is working with the Grosse Pointe Communities, which include the following Priority 1 organizations: Grosse Pointe Public Schools, Beaumont Hospital – Grosse Pointe, City of Grosse Pointe, City of Grosse Pointe Farms, City of Grosse Pointe Park, City of Grosse Pointe Shores, City of Grosse Pointe Woods, City of Harper Woods, and Harper Woods District Schools on evaluating the options to engineer and construct a fiber optic infrastructure to be utilized for service providers to provide service over the network, as well as, to build upon and extend the fiber optic infrastructure further into the community.

Questions from organizations are due by Tuesday, November 29, 2016 no later than 4:30PM (ET) and the RFP is due by Friday, January 13, 2017 no later than 4:30PM (ET).
