TROY — The Troy-based engineering technology developer Altair Inc. (Nasdaq: ALTR) announced the appointment of Amy Messano as chief marketing officer and Ubaldo Rodriguez as senior vice president of global sales.

Company officials said the hires would continue building Altair’s global sales and marketing organization for strategic growth.

Messano will lead Altair’s corporate, regional, and solutions marketing. She was most recently vice president of integrated marketing and communications at Aptiv, formerly Delphi, and previously held senior marketing positions at Microsoft.

Rodriguez will have responsibility for accelerating Altair’s worldwide revenue growth, reporting to Nelson Dias, Altair’s chief revenue officer. Rodriguez was most recently vice president of sales for the Americas at Ansys, where he had held several sales positions since 2004.

Former chief marketing officer Jeff Brennan, meanwhile, was named chief product officer of Altair 365, Altair’s cloud collaboration platform for design, engineering analysis, and manufacturability in a single user environment.
