ROYAL OAK – Tom Kelly, executive director of Automation Alley, talks about an upcoming trade mission to Paris for the Air Show. It will be Tom’s first trade mission since he was named executive director of the 1000 member association last September. Big data, robotics, aerospace manufacturers are the target for this mission, Kelly said. Once you’re there, your French counterparts will be lining up to do business with these companies.
This fall, Industry 4.0 global conference will attract speakers from all over the world to the Marriott at General Motors headquarters on Nov. 9. Kelly’s big push for Automation Alley is Industry 4.0 the digital industrial revolution. Many of Automation Alley’s members are involved in manufacturing. The focus will be to teach smaller manufacturers how to play in this space.
