ANN ARBOR—Pixel Velocity, the Ann Arbor-based provider of industrial Internet of Things software and services, announced the addition of several new executives.

Pixel Velocity’s Event Velocity is a digital operations software platform for automating the monitoring and management of remote and hazardous assets.

Patrick Talley joined the company as executive vice president of sales. Talley has a 25-year career in software sales and entrepreneurship in the oil and gas and health care industries, having closed more than $250 million in enterprise sales. He is responsible for sales to the energy and utilities markets.

In marketing, Pixel has hired Bob Chunn, who has led marketing and advertising for many corporate and entrepreneurial ventures. Chunn has expertise in digital and content marketing and rose to the position of vice president of digital at Borders Group. He will focus on strategic marketing, sales and customer satisfaction.

Isaac Shi, co-founder of Houston-based Golden Section Technology, has joined Pixel as chief technology officer. Shi has developed multiple enterprise software applications and mobile and big data solutions for millions of end users. He also has co-founded SaaS software ventures in health informatics and industrial automation.

Matt Cassell rounds out the new additions to the team, focusing on finance. Cassell has more than 20 years of corporate finance experience, including leading the finance function for an education-technology startup in Chicago. He returned to Michigan in 2013 to lead strategy and analysis for the mortgage division of MB Financial Bank. He has worked for several entrepreneurial ventures over the course of his career.

Pixel Velocity’s Event Velocity software is a unified environment to consolidate, analyze, display, and alert data from any IIoT sensor.  It includes video analytic capabilities for motion detection, infrared analytics for hydrocarbon leak detection, and event management. Pixel Velocity partners with Dell Technologies IoT Solutions Partner Program, Unicom, Erasco Group, and Twin Eagle Consulting to serve the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of the oil and gas industry and the utilities market.
