Getting wine of Zamorak is a must on your ironman account, where you’ll need it to create your own ranging potions and bastion potions. For regular accounts, getting wine of Zamorak can be a great and simple way to earn OSRS GP. However, if you’re not collecting it but making it with your cooking skill, it will cost you OSRS GP instead of bringing you profits, but the action will bring you cooking XP.

Drops

A few bosses regularly drop wine of Zamorak in noted form. For example, the solo version of Vet’ion, Calvar’ion, will drop 35 noted jugs with a chance of 1 in 25, but you’ll have to venture into the Wilderness. Cerberus also drops 15 noted jugs of the precious wine at the same rate. While you can kill Cerberus in the safety of Gielinor in the Taverley dungeon, you’ll need level 91 Slayer, a Cerberus or hellhounds slayer task, and a high combat level to kill this boss.

The Chaos Fanatic located in deep Wilderness will drop it even more often, but only ten at a time. You’ll face both a higher risk and you might get less overall. The Kalphite Queen is arguably the best boss source, especially for ironman, where you can kill her using the Keris Partisan and a ranged weapon. She’ll drop 60 at a time with a rarity of 1 in 12. You’ll most likely get fewer kills per hour than with other bosses, especially if your agility level is not high enough to use the agility shortcut or if you haven’t completed the elite desert diary to unlock the agility shortcut.

Theatre of blood is also a great way to obtain it, but there are even higher requirements to complete the raid. You’ll get 50 to 60 jugs per drop, and you have three rolls to get it for each 1 in 30 chances. Nex is another group boss, and she’ll commonly drop 4 to 14 pieces. Speaking of group bosses, Vet’ion is also a great source, but you’ll need a reliable group with high-level OSRS accounts for sale to team up with since you’ll adventure into deep Wilderness. Lastly, killing K’ril will bring you wine because his two demon guards often drop some.

Getting wine of Zamorak can bring you a lot of profits or give you access to ranging and bastion potions on your ironman account.

Collecting Wine of Zamorak

The most reliable way to get the wine of Zamorak is by collecting it. There are only a few places where it spawns, and each has advantages and disadvantages: Asgarnia’s Chaos Temple, deep Wilderness Chaos Temple, and the Deep Wilderness Dungeon.

Asgarnia’s Chaos Temple

Asgarnia’s Chaos Temple is one of the most popular locations since you can access it on F2P and members’ worlds. A big plus is that you won’t face the dangers of potential PvP, however, the respawn time is between 16 seconds in high-populated worlds and 28 seconds in low-populated worlds.

You’ll take damage and get your stats lowered by the aggressive monks of Zamorak, and you’ll need to cast telekinetic grab to get the wine. There are two Wine of Zamorak spawns here, one at each level of the temple. You’ll face a single monk at the upper level and over 18 at the lower level, but you will need a total level of 500 to access the superior level of the building.

Besides the necessities for casting telekinetic grab (air and law runes and level 33 magic), you will also need either the Zamorak monk robe or the Vestment robe. This is because the monk on the upper floor will only attack you if you pick the wine but will remain unaggressive if you use the telekinetic grab spell to obtain the wine. While doing this will minimize your profits as you will pay for the runes to cast the spell, you will overall profit more since you won’t need to restore your stats as often and consume food and restore pots.

Wilderness Chaos Temple

Since the wilderness chaos temple is a hotspot for PvP collecting wine here is highly not recommended. This place is mainly used by players training their prayer skills, and the bones they carry often attract PKers.

Deep Wilderness Dungeon

An alternative to Asgarnia’s Chaos Temple is the Deep Wilderness Dungeon. After you complete the hard Wilderness diary, you will get the Wine from here in the noted form to collect more and still have some food and pots in your inventory that might be useful if you run into PKers. The deep wilderness dungeon is not a hotspot of activity in the wilderness. A huge advantage here is that the wine will respawn much faster than in Asgarnia’s chaos temple, with a frequency of as few as 2 seconds in highly populated and 3 seconds in low-populated worlds.

Here you must use the telekinetic grab spell, as you won’t be able to pick up the wind otherwise. You’ll need level 46 agility and the medium wilderness diary completed to use the agility shortcut inside the dungeon to shorten the running distance.

If you’re collecting wine here, you should initially get here by pulling the lever in Edgeville to get to the deep wilderness and have a knife or slash weapon in your inventory. After that, you can use the mage arena bank to deposit the wine and restock on supplies.

Even though with the deep wilderness dungeon spawn you risk losing some OSRS GP, the potential to gain is much higher. Wherever you choose to collect the wine, you will get OSRS gold, as many players are willing to pay a lot for this crucial herblore ingredient. Whether you’re an ironman trying to get ranging potions or a regular account trying to profit, knowing your options for getting the Wine of Zamorak is always handy.
