GRAND RAPIDS – US Signal is activating Internet points of presence – major connections to the Internet – in Auburn Heights, Pontiac, Troy and Birmingham in March, with Traverse City set for May.
?We are very pleased to continue our network expansion in these high-demand locations,? said US Signal president, Barry Raterink. ?Increasing the density of on-off ramps throughout our footprint is critical to US Signal?s strategy of responding to customer demand while providing a strong foundation for the introduction of new products and services.?
US Signal?s long haul network will be further expanded with new locations in Portage, Indiana, and Traverse City. Portage will be available later in March and Traverse City will be available in May.
The new locations expand US Signal?s network reach to more than 600 route miles of fiber optic metro rings in 14 markets and over 3,000 route miles of long-haul fiber in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. The US Signal network provides more than 80 connections to major carrier hotel locations and local telephone company central offices.
