DEARBORN ? Would you like to join an elite group of 20 seed and early stage start ups that will be recognized at the third annual TiECon Midwest 2010? Business Karma 3.0 ? the biggest conference for entrepreneurs in Michigan is scheduled for October 28 ? October 29 at The Henry (formerly The Ritz-Carlton) in Dearborn. TiECon Midwest has been a sold out success since 2008 in Detroit. The conference offers business startups and experienced entrepreneurs a platform to assess current business life and to determine their future stake in success.
Last year, some 900 companies were nominated, a list that was culled down to about 250 that went to the judges, said TiECon 2010 Operations Chair Anu Gopalakrishan about TiE 20 Industry Awards. The most important date to remember this year is nominations must be in by Sept. 17.
What is TiE 20?
TiE 20 are an elite group of Top 20 Startups (seed / early stage) recognized and awarded from among hundreds of nominees at the annual TiECon Midwest ? one of the largest entrepreneurship focused conferences in the region; attracting successful Entrepreneurs, Venture Capitalists, Angel Investors and Industry Executives.
This year?s TiE 20 will be selected from four industry segments ? Internet, Software, Mobile and Media.
Selection process
TiE 20 finalists will be selected by a combination of judging by a panel industry experts and public polling. Last date for Nominations is Sep 17.
The Benefits
TiE 20 winners will be honored with awards of excellence in front of hundreds of Entrepreneurs, VCs and other professionals at TiECon Midwest 2010. They will also get to present their companies to the attendees. What are the requirements? Are there any fees?
There are no fees involved in this program. All we require is the presence of company’s CEO or Founder to receive the Award and showcase the company. As an additional benefit, TiE 20 presenters will attend TiECon Midwest 2010 conference on a complimentary basis.
