ANN ARBOR – The Ann Arbor IT Zone will hold a Selling Smart Seminar: Systematic Selling for Low Pressure Sales, an Accent Reduction Workshop, and a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) session in June. All programs will be held at SPARK Central in downtown Ann Arbor.

June 23 – Selling Smart Seminar: Systematic Selling for Low Pressure Sales. Joe Marr of Marr Professional Development Corporation, The Sandler Sales Institute, will teach attendees how using a systematic approach to sales short-circuits the inefficient traditional default system by taking the pressure off the prospect and the salesperson.

The seminar runs from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. and costs $15 for IT Zone members and $25 for non-members and students.

June 24 – Accent Reduction Workshop. This intensive accent reduction-training workshop will feature the articulation strategies necessary for proficient and effective English communication. Judy Ravin, internationally acclaimed author of Lose Your Accent in 28 Days and CEO of English Communications Services, will provide an opportunity for professional foreign nationals to learn the techniques and methods used in Lose Your Accent in 28 Days, a complete computer based learning system to help corporate and professional foreign nationals quickly master accurate English pronunciation. The Accent Reduction Workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $150 for all attendees and includes learning materials.

June 30 – Search Engine Optimization (SEO) session. Andy King, founder of Web Site Optimization; Dan Klyn, information architect at Fry, Inc.; and Linda Girard, principal of Pure Visibility; will discuss the secrets and strategies of how search engines can find you. They will share with attendees how to implement a sound search engine optimization strategy and how to optimize content strategies as well as keyword research, including free and paid tools to assist with the process. Attendees will also learn how to incorporate search engine optimization with site marketing strategy, leading to better results from web investments. The SEO session will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the cost is $10 for IT Zone members, $25 for non-members and $5 for students.
