FARMINGTON HILLS – The Detroit chapter of TiE (Talent, Ideas, Enterprise) Thursday announced that Rishi Jaitly, founder and CEO of Michigan Corps, will deliver a keynote speech during President Reception on Octber 27 during a preview of TiECon Midwest 2010.

“The idea behind Michigan Corps is to help Michigan rebound from its economic troubles by investing in organizations focused on economic transformation and wealth creation in the state. Michigan Corps acts as a connector and a platform for social change. We are proud to have Rishi Jaitly share his thoughts and vision to help Michigan rebound at TiECon Midwest 2010,” says Tel Ganesan, TiE Detroit president.

The New York native and former Google executive launched Michigan Corps, a national nonprofit intent on boosting Michigan?s economy and creating wealth for its residents. He previously led government affairs and public-private partnerships for Google across South Asia. Rishi was Director of Strategic Partnerships and Public Policy at College Summit, America’s premier non-profit organization partnering with low-income schools nationwide to increase college enrollment rates. Previously, while based in Silicon Valley, Rishi supported Google’s worldwide public policy advocacy efforts from Lansing to Paris, led Google’s philanthropic work with the United Nations, and supported communications for Google’s CEO. Earlier in his career, Rishi has served as Coordinator of Public Policy and Government Affairs at College Summit, Trustee of Princeton University, and Commissioner of the New Jersey State Commission on Higher Education.
