WHITMORE LAKE Distributed Computing Consulting Inc. has added a new wrinkle to its marketing plan by soliciting companies to participate in a Best Practices study that analyzes what makes a project successful.
DCCI is seeking volunteers to perform interviews and share stories of success for its Project Management Appreciative Inquiry into effective skills and practices in project management and leadership. Participants gain increased awareness of the project management skills and practices that consistently work and DCCI expands its potential audience of customers.
Its the first time weve taken this approach, said Senior Consultant Howard Renton. Weve never done anything in a distributed fashion like this before.
What we have seen are the old models of project management havent been working well, he said. Only a third of projects in the past have been successful. Were looking for a different way to get into the conversation about how we can do things better.
Anyone interested in participating in the study must contact DCCI by Aug. 1. The report will be issued in September. Study participants get a copy.
