DETROIT – Within the next couple of weeks Michigan InfraGard members will receive the first issue of “The Gardian,” an email newsletter designed to provide informative, useful and thought provoking articles about issues of interest and concern to InfraGard nationwide.
It will be distributed as an html e-newsletter containing
introductory paragraphs with links to the full text of each article on a
web site, exactly like the Mitechnews.Com eSecurity newsletter you now receive twice monthly. But each article will be between 1500 and 2000 words long.
This is one more way to make your InfraGard Membership important and
relevant to your professional lives.
InfraGard is on the lookout for writers with proven expertise and an excellent
reputation in the fields in which they are writing. This may be you or a
colleague. If so, we want to hear about it. Below is a list of the topics
that we plan to cover in upcoming issues:
Securing the Chemical Industry
Information security and computer forensics
Securing the Agricultural Industry
Legislative and regulatory issues (compliance issues)
Securing the energy sector, (including SCADA systems, petroleum, natural gas, electrical power)
Disaster recovery
Securing the telecommunications industry
Information security and physical security – issues in working
together
Securing our municipalities
Securing our ports
If you want to submit something for consideration, please submit a brief proposal to Editor Meta Levin at [email protected]
Do not send a complete manuscript. Explain the focus of your article, where it
fits into the editorial calendar, and why you are qualified to write about
the subject.
