ANN ARBOR – The New Enterprise Forums July 15 program will provide case studies of unusual entrepreneurial starts-ups and the lessons they learned.

The audience will hear from clever entrepreneurs who have developed, patented, and sold uncommon products from disposable undergarments, to an all- purpose device for opening medicine containers, to a “Frankfurter Converter” that cuts a hotdog to look like an octopus.

Panelists Tanya Allen, President and CEO Forever Fresh Global, LLC, Robert Mazur, President and CEO B.A. Maze, Inc., and Ed Suer, President Octodog, Inc. will cover product development, business development, and intellectual property protection activities, as well as the struggles specific to marketing and selling unusual or even unheard of products.

The meeting’s featured Showcase Presenter is PaloVerde ETS. The company’s unique product is the “Hummingbird,” a short commute vehicle, to transport people and cargos in planned communities, urban centers, campuses and resorts. David Rush, President and Co-founder of PaloVerde will be presenting the business opportunity and funding required to produce the vehicles.

The July 15 meeting sponsor is the University of Michigan Samuel Zell and Robert H. Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies. All NEF meetings include an open forum, which is an opportunity for all attendees to introduce their business product or service and request resources from the audience.

The event takes place at the Holiday Inn North Campus located on Plymouth Road at US 23 in Ann Arbor. Networking and registration begin at 5:00 p.m. with the program commencing at 5:45 p.m. New Enterprise Forum members attend for free; the admission fee is $20 for all others.
