GRAND RAPIDS ? MITechNews.Com is pleased to announce a joint agreement with MIBiz, starting in January 2012, to cover the technology beat for the West Michigan publishing group both in print and online.
MIBiz, purchased recently by REVUE Holding Company, Inc., publishes a twice-monthly business newspaper in Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and along the Lakeshore. The paper also has an online version at MIBiz.Com
?We are happy to announce that veteran tech and business writer Mike Brennan will begin working with the paper as a Senior Writer-Technology in January 2012,? said MIBiz Publisher Brian Edwards.
?Brennan, who owns and publishes the statewide digital media platform MITechNews.com, will cover the West Michigan technology beat for MiBiz, including software, security, telecommunications and other aspects of the region’s tech business. MiBiz will also be sharing content from MITechNews.Com in both the print and online versions of MiBiz,? he said.
Brennan, 59, has worked since 1980 as a technology and business reporter at newspapers in New York City, Silicon Valley, Seattle, Memphis and Detroit. He also co-founded and served as managing editor of Pacific Rim News Service, which developed a network of more than 100 journalists in 17 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
He earned an Associate Degree from Grand Rapids Community College, a bachelor?s degree from the University of Michigan, a master?s degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and was the 1992-93 Knight Fellow in Economic Journalism at the University of Michigan. Brennan has won numerous international, national, regional and local business reporting awards.
