SOUTHFIELD ? LDMI Telecommunications, which this week will become part of the Talk America empire, has expanded its voice and data network into the Greater Lansing and Jackson markets.

LDMI?s footprint extends to Lansing and East Lansing, Jackson, Okemos, Albion, Hillsdale and nearby communities. Services provided include the SmarT T1, an integrated local, long distance and Internet connectivity service.

?Greater Lansing and Jackson are central to our growth plans,? said LDMI CEO Patrick O?Leary. ?This expansion of our network means more Michigan companies can now choose a competitive voice and data solution from a leading provider.?

Founded in 1992, LDMI serves Michigan and Ohio and generates annual revenues in excess of $120 million. Customers include General Motors, Lear Corporation, AC Delco, and The Palace of Auburn Hills, and the Detroit Regional Chamber.

By mid July, LDMI will become a subsidiary of Talk America. The combined company will become the largest telecommunications provider in the Midwest.
