GRAND RAPIDS ? Clinical Systems Implementations will be the topic of a conference July 28-29 by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids.
Clinical System Implementations: The Road Less Traveled will highlight trends in the design and installation of productive healthcare information systems, and success stories among healthcare institutions in the state.
Conference attendees will include senior administrators, operational and clinical leaders, information systems staff members, analysts, project managers and programmers at the major hospitals, clinics, healthcare practices and healthcare consulting companies in Michigan. The program includes both an “acute care” information systems track, and an “ambulatory care” track.
The July 28th agenda features keynote speakers from Healthlink/IBM, Spectrum Health, Michigan State University Health System, and Perot Systems, among others. Additionally, the day will spotlight a panel of Chief Information Officers from major Michigan hospitals, an interactive panel focusing on the certification of the Emergency Medical Response systems, and sessions on practice management and medication administration.
Mariann Yeager, Vice President of Truarx Inc., a CA partner company of Computer Associates, is featured on the EMR certification panel.
July 29th will be a full day golf outing at the ThornApple Pointe Golf Course for all conference attendees, with opportunities to network and share ideas in a relaxed setting.
