AUBURN HILLS – Gibbs Technologies will discuss job openings at its new Oakland County headquarters and describe details of its breakthrough high-speed amphibious-vehicle technology at a Society of Automotive Engineers dinner meeting Dec. 1 at the San Marino Club in Troy.
Dennis Bemis, the company�??s vice president of human resources, said Gibbs will have a career booth at the December program to provide information about a variety of job openings in advanced engineering, marketing, sales and service.
Gibbs Chairman Neil Jenkins will speak at the meeting on the engineering breakthroughs and patented designs that have enabled the company to develop high-speed amphibians capable of achieving speeds in excess of 110 miles per hour on land and 45 mph on water.
Gibbs Technologies recently opened a 37,500-square-foot headquarters and product development center in Auburn Hills and plans to introduce a series of high-speed amphibians in the United States beginning in early 2010.
Bemis noted that the company has an immediate need for engineers on its advanced engineering team in a variety of areas, including chassis, suspension, structures, powertrain, marine and jet propulsion. Openings also are available in marketing, sales and service.
The meeting is expected to attract more than 300 automotive engineers and professionals and will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The San Marino Club is located at 1685 East Big Beaver Road in Troy.
