SOUTHFIELD – Focus: Hope Co-Founder Eleanor Josaitis will deliver the keynote address on March 23 at a symposium held at Lawrence Technological University that will focus on career-building skills and tactics for technology-oriented women.

The half-day symposium, co hosted by the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation and CA, formerly Computer Associates, is open to students as well as experienced professionals. “The Power Tools Symposium: Success Strengthening Strategies For All That You Can Be” features a dozen sessions, including:

Building strong networks;

Searching for, and landing, your dream job;

Selecting and fostering professional mentors;

Interviewing techniques that work;

Creating your optimal career image;

Business etiquette and how it can further your professional evolution;

Ten practical tips (that they don?t teach you in school) to build your successful career;

Other sessions include a role-model panel and a discussion about career paths. Session facilitators include accomplished female executives, entrepreneurs, and skilled career counselors, with expertise in these areas.

Fees range from $20 for the full day for students; through $40 for MCWT members; and $70 for the full day for non-members. Attendees may also register for the evening session only, at a reduced price. All funds raised go to the Michigan Council of Women In Technology Foundation, and its scholarship fund.
