WASHINGTON DC ? FBI Director Robert Mueller will be a keynote speaker in August at the National InfraGard Conference in the nation?s capitol. Another keynote will be delivered by Colonel Danny McKnight, Inspiration for the book and movie Black Hawk Down.
Conference Tracks include topics related to Maritime and Port Security, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, First Responders and Critical Infrastructure Security. Conference attendees will include Private sector company representatives, Government employees, and Local, state and Federal law enforcement officers and agents.
By providing subject matter expertise to organizations such as the FBI and Department of Homeland Security (DHS), InfraGard’s members play a critical role in protecting the Nation?s safety and security. Attendance at the InfraGard 2005 National Conference is not limited to current members of InfraGard.
Anyone concerned with infrastructure protection issues, whether related to physical or cyber security, has the opportunity to attend this conference. Michigan representatives are encouraged to attend this conference at a reduced cost. Michigan is critical to the overall mission of the InfraGard. Representatives of Critical Infrastructure and other Mission Critical activities are essential to the success of this program and to the welfare of the State.
The cost of the conference will be $695 for members or pending members, $595 for government employees and $895 for non-members. Pending membership means that an application for membership has been mailed to the FBI, but is still in the approval process. The application must be received at least a week prior to the conference or the registration will be charged the extra $200. Checks, credit cards and Purchase Orders are acceptable. On site registration will be limited to InfraGard Members in good standing.
