DEARBORN. The Fairlane Club will host this years Top Michigan Women in Computing Awards Gala, the Association for Women In Computing announced Wednesday.
The Awards Gala salutes the best and the brightest among the many outstanding Michigan women in IT. All honorees play leadership roles in Michigan, and each has demonstrated significant accomplishments in her career and acts as a positive role model for women.
The gala will honor the first recipient of the AWC-AA Scholarship for outstanding women pursuing degrees in technology related fields. The AWC-AA Scholarship Fund was established at the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation with proceeds from last years AWC awards gala.
Microsoft, Covansys and Erickson Partners are the premier sponsors for this event. All proceeds from the gala will benefit the AWC Ann Arbor Scholarship Fund.
